The text takes a cultural approach to human development. There is a continuity of culture-individual interaction across the life span. Therefore:
- Discuss your interpretation of the meaning of the “frog in the bottom of the well” story from the chapter introduction and the definition of culture.
- Then in support of this view, discuss Bronfenbrenner’s (1993) person-context-process-time model. (Diagram is located in your textbook as well as posted in Chapter 1 Assignments Folder)
- After comparing these two items then provide your understanding of the message of these items.
- Then generate examples of your culture, or cultures and how your perception of your culture has changed over the course of your life.
