1)Federalists felt that this addition wasn’t necessary, because they believed that the Constitution as it stood only limited the government not the people. The Anti- Federalists claimed the Constitution gave the central government too much power, and without a Bill of Rights the people would be at risk of oppression.

Anti-Federalists and Federalist had many similarities. Both were supportive of this new country and knew that they needed a government. They both wanted the congress to have power to create war and to create treaties.

2)Civil liberties are protections against government actions. For example, the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights guarantees citizens the right to practice whatever religion they please. Government, then, cannot interfere in an individual’s freedom of worship.

In my opinion Security is important on the national level, but most people give the utmost value to their privacy, and it should be protected on all levels.

The two goals are exclusive.

yes they have, however American citizens should trust their government to protect their civil liberties because the government cannot deprive them of their freedoms outlined in the Bill of Rights.
